In recent times, when people are becoming more workaholics, Dhad aspires to bridge the gap between people's lives and knowledge. Dhad has incorporated audiobooks into mobile applications that narrate the content to ease this. It provides an opportunity to gain understanding by listing anytime and anywhere.

Noting the target audience, product concept, and the market, we have developed a user-centric approach for easy readability, navigation, and the ultimate audio streaming experience for optimal user acceptability and satisfaction.

Audiobook Display Using Optimal UX Designs

  • Users can swipe through all the books listed and tap on the desired one.
  • Each book has its cover audio which can be listened to free of cost.
  • However, a user must subscribe to a membership plan to upload that book to his in-app library and read it from there.

Categorization of books

  • Every book belongs to a different genre which may make it difficult for a user to search for their book of choice.
  • Hence, we have categorized them into genres like wellness, sci-fi, lifestyle, etc.
  • Category search has also been enabled, which searches the books according to the keywords typed in.

Detailed Info Exhibition

  • Before listening to any book, the user can go through all relevant information regarding the book. Author's, year of publishing, type, and summaries are some common data any user would want to look upon before selecting.

Recommendations Viewing

  • Users get recommended books that come as a list below the one they are listening to.
  • It gives a better experience as users can now explore more books easily.
  • Member users can listen to or add them to their library instantly.

Strategic Vertical and Horizontal Scrolling

  • On the welcome page, the user swipes left for more book categories.
  • But on the second page, the user scrolls vertically over the recommendations.
  • Such practices have been implemented, taking into account standard user flow.

Book Pricing

  • Instead of pricing each book, the design flow helps the user purchase.
  • The user has to avail of a membership plan.
  • Subscription can be performed through secure-app purchases.
  • After subscription, the user can listen to many books.

Seasons

  • With several Book Series launches, we have also sought to embed an OTT platform in these series.
  • The season is divided into series wherein each book is added whenever launched.
  • Thus, users can automatically be updated to new readers: fostering an enhanced mobility solution.
